LBQS 1429-008 is a very rare triple quasar. A quasar is a blast of gamma radiation and energy that is usually powered by supermassive black holes. If one of these were directed at Earth, all life would be completely eliminated. They were found in 2007 and are a extremely far distance from Earth. Scientists are still baffled about the find and are currently learning more about this rare oddity.
